Karachi Administration Keen To Promote Consumer Rights Concept:

KARACHI: Commissioner of Karachi, Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui yesterday said the city administration was committed to promote “Consumers’ Rights Concept” in the cosmopolitan city of the country.
Chairing a meeting to review the ongoing operation against profiteers and other unscrupulous elements engaged in deceiving public under one or the other pretext, he said equal efforts are underway towards active involvement of citizens in the campaign.“Realizing the seriousness of the government, people too are now witnessed demanding official price list and its absolute compliance by the shopkeepers,” said the commissioner.

Zaidi For Completion Of Eidgah, Polo Ground Dev Works Ahead Of Eid:

KARACHI: KMC Administrator Syed Hashim Raza Zaidi directed to complete construction works of Gulshan-e-Jinnah (Polo Ground) park and Eidgah before Eid which was being constructed at the cost of Rs 170 million so that citizens could be given a big and beautiful park as a gift on the occasion of Eid.
He said this during a visit to Gulshan-e-Jinnah (Polo Ground), said a statement.He was accompanied by Director General Parks, Project Director, Chief Engineer and other officers. On this occasion, the KMC Administrator inspected construction works of park and said that the biggest gathering of Eid prayer will be held in Gulshan-e-Jinnah this year, which is expected to attend by a good number of dignitaries and foreign diplomats. He directed to enhance speed of construction works of Gulshan-e-Jinnah and complete installation works of stone canopies and internal door in a week.
