Spray Programme To Be Arranged On The Occasion Of Eid-Ul-Fitr:
KARACHI: Municipal Services Department has arranged a spray programme in all districts with the collaboration of concerned district municipal corporation and district council Karachi on the direction of KMC Administrator Syed Hashim Raza Zaidi on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.Spray will be performed through 18 vehicles in the jurisdiction of five districts and district council Karachi a day before Eid. Three vehicles for each district and district council have been allocated which will perform spray in and around all Eidgahs, mosques and Imambargahs whereas two spray vehicles will remain available in Civic Centre so that they could be sent to any area on complaint. The Administrators and Municipal Commissioners of all districts with reference to spray campaign have been asked to deploy an officer for monitoring the spray work. Besides, on the directives of KMC Administrator Syed Hashim Raza Zaidi, the ninth round of fumigation under Malaria/ Dengue Fever Control Programme of Municipal Services Department being started with the collaboration of district administration in the jurisdiction of five districts of KMC from August 12 which will continue till September 2, 2013.
Malir Halt Flyover To Be Constructed At A Cost Of Rs386mln:
KARACHI: KMC Administrator Syed Hashim Raza Zaidi has said that a three lanes flyover will be constructed at Malir Halt on Sharea Faisal, at a cost of Rs 386 million in the current fiscal year so that citizens visiting Sharea Faisal could be facilitated.This flyover will not only cross Malir Halt signal but also the railway line ahead which would resolve problems being faced by the citizens in crossing the railway line.
He said this while addressing a meeting held on review of strategy, financial resources and other matters of ongoing projects, new projects started during new financial year including roads, flyovers and other development projects under Works and Services Department, said a statement here yesterday.
On this occasion Director General Technical Services Niaz Ahmed Soomro, Project Director and other concerned officers were present.The Administrator Karachi was informed in a briefing that the flyover being constructed on Malir Halt will have 411 metres length, three lanes of three metres each and 14 spans.
